Insane House Of Jessica

I am a 30 yr. old single mother of 2. Both my kids (Austin, 8 & Alexia, 4) have ADHD and the Austin has ODD on top of it. I have Bipolar 1 Disorder with rapid cycling. I just graduated from college with an A.A. in Accounting and sdtarted a new job. I love to crochet. This is where I will share my experiences, good and bad, ones with you. My kids, work, and my crocheting for charities are the most part of my life I will be sharing.

The Longest Day in Awhile

Yesterday I had to do lots of stuff and my house wasn't one of them. After I cooked lunch I had to get the kids packed up and ready to go. Austin had his one night everyother week at grandma's and Alexia is with her daddy and grandparents for the week. Alexia will be going to Minnesota Tuesday to see family and go to Mall of America, Valley Fair, and the zoo. After getting them packed I had to rush to K-Mart to get all of their meds. Then run Alexia to grandma's, iron my dress there. Drive a block and drop off Austin to his grandma's. After that I had only 40 minutes to finish getting ready for my friend's wedding. Luckily I only had to put make-up on and get dressed.

At the Wedding
It was a beautiful wedding outside. I was so peaceful and HOT! We had BBQ POrk sand whiches and a bunch of sides to eat. The D.J. was pretty good and the dancing was fun. After most everyone left I helped pack up some stuff and took my best friend's daughter's boyfriend home.....a 40 minute drive one way. Took her daughter home and came home and crashed.

Today my left leg muscles are achey and I have tons of house work to get done. I plan on starting in Austin's room. I think the best way would be to take everything off the floor and put into a tote then sort throught that. While doing that I will run the laundry through. Next, Alexia's room ,the bathroom, the living room, and finally the kitchen. Hopefully I will be done in time to watch Charmed, The 4400, The Closer, and Wanted tonight.

Is it Friday Yet?

Today was a good day to prove Murphy's Laws are correct. If it could go wrong, it did. First, the kids were fighting more than normal. Second, Austin's new meds are making act really tired and almost like he is not sleeping at night. Third, I watched a friends girls today so she could testify at her brother's trial. Fourth, I had to pick up ex at work, I do this every Friday, and my van started acting up. Needless to say, I had my ex- mother-in-law drive me and my 2 kids and a friends daughter home and was left without transportation tonight. My house is a mess and I do not feel like cleaning. I do not even want to crochet, which is unusual for me. I feel like sleeping......That's a bipolar down day.

Ok, here's the biggest messes in my house.......

Top-Alexia's Room
bottom- Living Room Shelves

Now for the good parts! The kids are in bed!!!!! I talked to Austin's doctor and he said to decrease his meds a bit. Friend's daughter is gone. The van is fixed for now. And, the kittens are walking on all 4s.

Tomorrow shall bring on a manic state and most will get clean!!!!!

Today was Pretty Good!

Austin and Alexia got up early this morning and were quiet til about 10am. I was able to lay in bed and watch my morning TV shows. I worked on the house work a bit, organized, got about 5 rows more done on my afghan, and I mowed most of the lawn before I had an asthma attack. Lucky for me I had my inhaler with me.

Here is Momma Kittie! She is doing well and better momma than I thought for her being so young. Sylvester and Smokie have their eyes almost completely open and Sylvester has been walking on all fours. Go Sylvester Go!!!

I organized all my crochet stuff today....including my yarn!!!! Here are the photos of the organization TODAY!

I Think it looks much better all hidden in the bench!!!!!

Now, if any one can tell me how to get my kids to clean their rooms I would appreciate it! They are a mess. I can't even walk through Austin's without stepping on a toy.

July 27th 2005

Well today was challegning.
Alexia and Austin were fighting all day. A migrane kept me from crocheting and punishing the kids like I should. I have however, got to take a nap with the kids today....the first in a long time.

Austin's medication was changed last week and it is now the adjustment period. He is having troubles calming himself down and listening. Hopeing that it does not last too long. The fighting with Alexia is driving me crazy.

Alexia is enjoying the new kittens and driving me crazy asking, "Can I hold them now? They are bigger." They are only 1 1/2 weeks old!!!! The black and white one's name is Sylvester and the grey and white one's name is Smokie.

Tonight was Movie Night here. We watched Ella Enchanted. The kids loved it and wanted to watch it again.

I did work on my crocheting this evening. Not much progress though. Here is my project....
