Insane House Of Jessica

I am a 30 yr. old single mother of 2. Both my kids (Austin, 8 & Alexia, 4) have ADHD and the Austin has ODD on top of it. I have Bipolar 1 Disorder with rapid cycling. I just graduated from college with an A.A. in Accounting and sdtarted a new job. I love to crochet. This is where I will share my experiences, good and bad, ones with you. My kids, work, and my crocheting for charities are the most part of my life I will be sharing.

Rainy Days

It is rainy and depressing. I need the sun to jump out and grace me with itself. I am working on cleaning my house today. I have the kitchen just about done. Then I have the livingroom, bathroom, my room, the laundry room, and wash all the bedding. I will be done Friday morning and have to start all over again.

My Medications
The doctor put me on Concerta and Trazodone. They seem to be working well, however I still need a mood stabilizer. I am staying on track and getting things done though. I still have the mood swings really bad. Next month he will add the mood stabilizer.

I am still crocheting 6" Granny Squares for Hurricane Katrina victims. And I am working on an afghan for my granny who is in the nursing home.

Weekend Time

Today has been a long day. I feel like I did too much house work, when I only did a few loads of laundry, cooked, and did dishes. I spent most the day transporting the kids again.

Yesterday I went through some of the genealogy that grandma had. I am trying to put together a complete family tree. I have tons to put into the computer and several names and dates to find. My grandma's niece did most of the work and I am just putting it into my computer software to create a family tree. I am using "Snap! Family Tree" software. It is pretty easy to use. I am also trying to scan all old pictures and add them into the family tree.

I am still looking for a job. I can not wait to find one. I need to get out of the house and away from the kids. I will probably end up working at Wally World. Not the best job but it will work for awhile I guess.

Tomorrow I am going to finish my housework and get the kids ready for school on Monday. It will be bath night and I still have no idea what to cook for dinner.

As for my bipolar and ADHD, well it is getting better. I am now on Concerta for my ADHD and it seems to be working great. I am still taking Trazodone for my depression part of my bipolar.. Next month I will start on a mood stabilizer. Hopefully I will stop having such ups and downs in my moods. They are killilng me, one minute I am fine then I start to cry then I get really mad....It is hard to get anything done.

New Family Member

This is Landon Scott.
Born 9/21/05 @ 8:50am
7lbs. 15oz.
20 1/2 "

Landon is my cousin's second child. Landon is being breastfed and is doing great at it. He wil be going home Friday, Septmeber 23rd. He has an older brother Noah that is 3 years old. Noah is excited he has a lil' brother now.

I am excited that anothe family member has joined the family. Family is everything. Without family you have almost nothing, in my eyes anyway. I love my family even though I have little of it left. Treasure every minutes with your loved ones!

Here is the blankie I made for lil' Landon. He will be using it on his way home from the hospital. His brother's blankie is a a ripple done with the varigated yarn that is in Lil' Landon's. So, they match but are not the same.

If you are looking for a blankie or soakers my sister and I make them and we do except some custom orders. Just visit Bitty Bottom.

Lost My Mind For a Bit

Well, it has been a long time since I posted. I have been very busy. The kids have been having a free taxi service and other things threw me off for a bit. So here goes everything that happened...

2 weeks ago my grandma went to the emergency room after she was on the floor for several hours and couldn't tell us why she was there. They ran a bunch of tests and diagnosed with dementia and diabetes. They found out she hadn't been eating, drinking, or taking her meds. Needless to say, she is now in a nursing home. We had to put her in one I really didn't care for until there was room at the one we wanted her at. She was moved there Wed. And seems to be adjusting well.

Now my aunt and I are going through everything and finding out what we can do with the house. Everything is in a trust account, not in grandma's name so it is not clear what we can do. I would prefer to rent the house but I do not think we can. And the killer is, that she has an 18 century secretary desk and we can't seem to find the keys for it. So, tomorrow I have to talk to locksmiths about it. I have a feeling it will cost a lot.

Then, this weekend we had our county fair and I took the kids. It was a zoo there. Now I remember why I didn't take them last year. They had a great time though and I think it was worth going. I am not sure if I will take Alexia next year since she will not be able to ride many rides yet. I only had Alexia for about an hour why we were there and then she went off with her daddy and sister. Austin rode most of the rides and I didn't think he would.

Also, I have been having troubles with my left shoulder and the doctor sent me to physical therapy..Not that that has helped nay. I decided to go to my chiropractor too and that has made a huge difference. I love my chiropractor, he is the best, well besides my uncle Greg. But, my uncle Greg lives in Ireland and I am in the US so it is not practical for me to see him any more.

Then there is my efforts to help the Katrina Victims. I am crocheting granny squares that will be put together to make afghans for those affected by Katrina.

Well it is time to get the kiddies to bed. I hope to post more often now that I have gotten a bit done.
